What is Co-op Mic?

‘Co-op mic’ stems from the universal idea of an open-mic that has attracted people to come forward to voice their thoughts and opinions on various topics and themes, in an open and voluntary fashion. Co-op Mic as the name suggests, is a similar manifestation with focus on the ‘co-operative difference’; the impact that co-operatives as value-based enterprises bring to the table to members, entrepreneurs, and the community they operate.

Co-op Mic provides a platform for experts, entrepreneurs and friends of the co-operative movement to help share their ideas, experience and knowledge on strategically relevant themes. The audience will be those present at the Jesus and Mary College in New Delhi and those taking part online.

The format of the Co-op Mic   involves an hour long talk on topical issues affecting co-operatives and collectives and will include a brief Q&A session. The talk will be streamed live on Facebook.com/ICAAsiaandPacific/ and a short video will be prepared for wider dissemination of the session.
