The ICA America’s has organized it’s first Cooperative Summit in September, 2009 in Guadalahara, Mexico. The ICA America VI Continental Meeting of Women Co-operators was also held in conjunction of the Summit.

The ICA America Regional Office for Americas invited Mrs. Savitri Singh, Advisor Gender Programme to participate in the Summit and Continental Meeting of the Women Cooperators. The topic of the discussion was: “Global crises panorama and its impact on Women’s lives”. Mrs. Savitri Singh presented a Report from the ICA Asia Pacific Region. The Chief guest of the opening was Ms.Maria Elena Herting, Deputy Director General of ICA.
