The ICA-AP Committee on Co-operatives in Educational Institutions (ICEI) met for its 10th Annual meeting at the SeaCare Co-operative Hotel in Singapore on October 4, 2018. The meeting was attended by members from Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, India and the Philippines.
The committee elected its new office bearers with Dr. Mohd. Azlan Yahya, Vice President, Finance & Integrity, Angkasa Malaysia as the Chairperson and Dr. Motoo Furuta, President NFUCA, Japan and Mrs. Indira Panta, Vice Chairperson Royal Multipurpose Cooperative Society under the ages of National Cooperative Bank Limited, Nepal as Vice Chairpersons.
The Committee changed its name from university/campus committee to ‘committee on co-operatives in educational institutions’. The ICEI will undertake a regional research on the status of student cooperation in partnership with the ICA-AP Committee on Co-operative Research.
